My God is the people

Sin is not creating a heaven or earth . . .
A kingdom of justice and peace . . .

I believe in woman and man,

Who are creators of their history,

Destroyers of unjust orders,

Planters of the seeds of an equal, just and free order . . .

Builders of a new world!

I believe in our salvation,

The fulfillment and realisation of a new kingdom.

I believe in total salvation:

Our bodies and souls liberated from all forms of oppression and exploitation.

I believe in collective salvation:

Woman and man, together they shall work . . .
Commitment strengthened by love for God,
Love for the people . . . the toiling yet fighting masses ...
the poor, deprived and oppressed.

I believe in my God

Working in all human beings —

My God who frees and unites!

I believe in God,

Who is directly involved in our people's struggle.
1 feel my God as I feel the heart of my brothers and sisters;

I vision our freedom as a people!
For God lives in our hearts, our bodies . . .
My faith is deeper, my commitment is stronger
Because my God is the people!
