INTRODUCTION

This booklet, WSCF Asia Book No. 3 WOULD THAT ALL THE LORD’S PEOPLE WERE PROPHETS, attempts to answer in part the need of national movements, groups and individuals for some “guideline” in reflecting on their involvement in the struggle for justice. Surely, as the author declares, the studies do not in any way presume to provide a “blueprint” for those who are in the struggle. However, it is admitted that Christians who are in the struggle for liberation need to come together and reflect on "what it is that sustains them" in their common involvement.

WSCF Asia, therefore, is happy that in some small measure it can contribute in fulfilling this spelt need among its constituencies and friends all over the world.

We would like to thank Gabriele Dietrich for allowing us to print the Bible studies she presented during the 27th General Assembly of the World Student Christian Federation in Colombo, Sri Lanka last February this year.

We would also like to make special mention to The Committee for Society Related Services (AGD) of the Association of the Churches’ Development Services of the German Church for helping us launch our WSCF Asia Book Series.
