EVALUATION AND CLOSING:

Prior to their official closing ceremony led by Rev. David Rodrigues the group engaged in the exercise of making an evaluation of the programme. While commending the preparatory work done it was found there were some inadequacies during the programme. Foremost among them was the communication barrier due to language problems and a suggestion made was for the provision of written documents soon after the lectures or presentations so that the people who did not follow English could understand the proceedings and participate more effectively. But on the whole it was discovered that due to the decentralised style of functioning adopted through the creation of the steering group the participants were more fully able to freely participate in both the decision-making and also in clarifying issues in smaller groups that were strictly not structured meetings.

The closing worship led by Rev. David Rodriguez, Chairperson on the 11th June denoted the formal closing of the programme for 1983.
