OPENING ACTS AND LOGISTICS:

The Programme started on the evening of 16th May with words of welcome and greetings. The introductory session laid down the logistics for the entire programme. It was agreed that a "Steering Group" be elected from among the participants to conduct the proceedings. This group had the complete responsibility and autonomy to look at the programming and suggest ways and means of participation. They also coordinated the daily workshop sessions. The cardinal motive behind the constitution of the Steering Group was to provide opportunities for the participants in conducting and summing up a meeting.

On the morning of the 17th Rev. Kwok Nai Wang, General Secretary of the Hong Kong Christian Council addressed the group at the Opening Worship Service. He spoke of a "life of fullness in the Lord" and called on the group to dedicate their lives to His Service by participating in the struggles of the people.
