EXPOSURE

The host committee divided the participants into four groups.  The groups were then oriented on the local agriculture, educational system and the social and cultural values of the village. Three of the groups were warmly welcomed by the villagers with the exception of one group inhere the people were not very keen to allow intrusion of foreigners, for fear of exposure to the realities of the village. The village head asked the group to immediately leave. The other groups however were able to share and experience the life of the villagers.

There were two main objectives that the exposure fulfilled - a closeness among the participants and the experiencing of village life in the context of HRD '66.

The outcome of the evaluation was that oppression, poverty, lack of education and the churches inability to carry out its mission was very visible.
