INTRODUCTORY & OPENING SESSION

The introductory session began with each parti-

cipant having to introduce herself/himself to a sea of new faces, by personal sharing as well as speaking about her/his involvement in the SCM.

The Opening worship was conducted by Ronald Pangaribuan from the Host Committee. As the General Secretary of GMKI, Rev. Dicky Mozes had not yet arrived, Alex K. Dinting Suka, the Chairperson of Medan Branch, delivered the meditation instead. Alex warmly welcomed the participants and invoked the Almighty's blessings on the participants - to give them vision, direction and strength to carry on working for the aspirations of the people.

Later in the evening the participants enjoyed a session of fellowship by playing games and personal sharing. The participants were then divided into four 'steering committees’ responsible for conducting for the week. This gave the participants a sense of responsibility and provided them with practical experience. Rev. Dicky Mozes who arrived during the later part of the evening shared with the participants the programmes and activities of GMKI.
