PEACE ISSUES
Participants who joined this group dealt with peace issues. Before entering into a discussion, they noted
the following points which they felt were linked with Peace issues:

They stated that in the wake of the growing trends towards
nuclearisation, militarisation
and interests of the first world, super powers avail themselves at the first
opportunities to jump into the
Asian/Pacific scene where social and political anarchy prevails and where
the economic structures are an the brink of collapsing. They support the military juntas in exchange
for toeing their line. These major powers make large political and economic
investments in this region, impairing the Regional peace, creating social and
economic instability in the area and align themselves to military dictators in
order to gain a foothold in the region. (See appendix for recommendations made)
