People: Rejoice, people of God! Celebrate the life within you, and Christ presence in our midst!

Leader: Our eyes shall be opened! The present will have new meaning, and the future will be bright with hope.

ALL: Sisters and brothers we have come together to worship God who offers us freedom through our Lord Jesus Christ, For the spirit of life in God has set us free from the law and the sin of death.  For we did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear but we have received the spirit of the children of God.  Let us praise God!

5. Prayers of Confession

In faith

Let us come before the Holy God

And know who we are: (silent prayer)

We are the people of the New Heaven

And the New Earth,

But we fall for short of that hope.

We are the peoples, who receive the grace of God,

But we fail to offer it to others.

Seek and you shall find,

Knock and life will be opened before you,

Rise up and live,

In freedom and faith, Amen

Response: Sing Ha -Le -Lu- Yah to the Lord (3 times)

9. Prayers of Intercession (All together)

Lord,

Make us realise that our Christian's life is like a rice field:

When it is newly planted the paddies is high-flying,

But as the plants take root and grow taller

These divided paddies gradually vanish

And soon there appears only one vast continuous field.

So give us roots that loves

And help us grow in Christian fellowship and service,

That thy will be done in our lives

Through our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

(From the Philippines)

10. Give sign of peace to one another

11. Common Prayer: (read together)

Lord, make us instruments of your peace.

Where there is hatred let us show love,

Where there is injury, let us show pardon;

Where there is discord, let us unite;

Where there is sadness, let us give  joy;

O Divine master, grant that we may not seek so much

To be consoled, as to console;

To be understood, as to understand;

To be loved, as to love with all our soul;

For in giving we receive, in pardoning we are pardoned,

And dying we are born into eternal life. Amen

(St. Francis of Assisi)

12. Benediction:

May the Love, Grace and Peace of God

Shown to us through Jesus. Amen
