A Participant's Reflection

Why?

Why?

Why does nobody care that politicians lie, cheat,

corrupt, prostitute?

Should not the people have fair representation?

Why?

Why does each little country suffer the injustice of

western control?

Should not the people band together,, and together

demand justice?

Why?

Why do the white, male, middle class, western,, have

the power and privilege?

Should not the non-white, women, working class,

eastern, have their share?

Why?

Why do our youth destroy their lives with addiction to

drugs, alcohol, television, coca-cola and pepsi?

Should not the "choice of a new generation" come from

other than American advertising men?

Why?

Why do men not think of women as their equals, their

partners, their companions?

Should not the wondrous joys of marriage, family and

life be shared equally, in partnership?

Why?

Perhaps they do not know.

Perhaps they do not care.

But we know.

We care.

We can arouse, mobilize, organize.

We have asked why.

Now we can ask how – how do we remove all of this

injustice, oppression and foolishness?

HOW?
